Baby Girl Playtime Naptime Cake

I made two 9x12 white cakes. I used lemon pie filling between the two layers. I iced the cake with white buttercream icing. I used two shades of pink buttercream icing for the trim writing and baby quilt. I made the baby and toys out of many different colours of gum paste. I made these the day before the baby shower so they would be dry.

I just placed these items on the cake after I transported the cake to the shower. The "mom to be" was so happy with the cake, she wouldn't let anyone eat the baby and toys, she took them off the cake to be treasured.
