Baby Shower Candles

by Sherry
(Kentucky)

I am not sure if this idea is listed or not, but...

for my sister's baby shower (girl), I bought various scented Yankee Candles in the small jars and I printed out the following poem on clear labels and stuck it on the jars (the back side):

With the flicker of this candle's flame,
say a prayer in baby's name.

then I put each candle jar in a small pink see-thru draw-string bag....
it was a hit!!--everyone loved it and of course, everyone loves Yankee candles...but you can also use a tea-light candle, wrap it in blue or pink tulle and attach a tag with the poem on it---you can even try to find pink, blue or yellow tea-light candles---needless to say, this is MUCH cheaper!!!

Actually on the tag with the poem, I did put "Sheila's Baby Shower" and below that I put the date of the shower.
--both under the poem.

Great idea! We did these at a shower, but we used empty baby food jars and painted them pink. Put a cheap votive inside, glue your poem on and your done.

Excellant Idea !!!!

This is a great idea! You could even add to the tag the name of whoever the Shower was for and the date of the shower.
