How To Make Washcloth Lollipops
This is an extremely popular baby shower craft idea! We received several requests for directions on how to make them.
So I decided to make them for my sister's baby shower in order to get the hang of it and get some pictures. They were a hit!
Guests were so impressed by the creativity involved (they did't need to know how simple they actually were to make!)
- Take a baby washcloth (good quality one) and roll it up jelly-roll style
- Roll into a tight circle and secure with a safety pin
- Wrap in cellophane
- Slide a Popsicle stick in through the bottom and secure by tying tightly with a cute bow
- The tied bow keeps the stick from falling out
- These make cute baby shower decorations! Lay across tables and on counter tops or display in galvanized tins.
- You can give to the mom-to-be at the end of the shower or hand out for party favors!
Lately there have been all kinds of washcloth, towel and diaper crafts floating around the internet!
All of them would make the perfect baby shower decorations or favors - You can choose to hand them out to guests at the end of the baby shower, or give the washcloth creations to the mom to be to use for the baby.
Washcloths and towels can be transformed into cupcakes, donuts, latte's, sushi, sundaes, cake slices! It is amazing how crafty people are!
(Note: if you want to give these away as favors - you can use regular washcloths so the guests can use them at home. If you plan on gifting them to the new mom to add to her baby supply collection, use baby washcloths.)
