Baby Shower Garden Party

Baby Shower Garden Party Theme
We didn't play games at our baby shower, so we didn't have prizes, but we did want the guests to take something home with them to remember my daughter's special day.
We decided to make our place cards, their gifts and save money on centerpieces at the same time.
We bought small clay pots and painted each one white. When we found out we were having a girl, we splattered them with pink. (Dip an old toothbrush in pink paint, hold in front of pot and pull your thumb over the bristles, sending off little splatters of paint on the pot)- we painted the rim and saucer solid pink. Once these were dry we planted pink and white striped petunias in each pot.
We added a pretty plant marker to each with the guests name printed on it.
Our seating consisted of borrowed card tables with pink cloths and white lace overlays.
The plants at each setting looked very elegant and there was no need for an added centerpiece.
We had so many compliments and everyone got to take something home.
For added decoration, I bought four hanging flower baskets to hang in trees around the tables and it looked gorgeous.
My daughter and I gave each of her friends who went in on the shower one of the hanging plants to take home as a special Thank You.
