Although the sex of the baby has not been confirmed....the baby shower definitely had a "blue theme" to it.

This was the first of three, yes three baby showers planned for Mrs. Aguilera.

Many of the gifts came from Bel Bambini and included, blue Loved Mom Guitar shirt, a Cariboo bassinet with blue dot bedding, Trumpette Johnny's socks and Sozo Whiz Kid wee block, meant for use when changing a baby boy's diapers.

Having a Book Baby Shower is perfect for 2nd or 3rd time mothers that have the essentials. It is a great way to build a wonderful and timeless book collection.

Some classic must-have books are:

• Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
• Goodnight Moon
• A Wish To Be A Christmas Tree
• The Very Hungry Caterpillar
• Maybe My Baby
• Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
• Pat The Bunny
• Runaway Bunny
• Good Dog, Carl

To let guest's know that this is going to be a book themed baby shower, you can include it in the invitation.

The last thing guys want to do is go to a baby shower, right? Well probably...but there are some tools you can use to lure them in! We asked a couple of men what it would take to get them to go to a co-ed baby shower and both answered - Beer! And also, No Games! And if games are to be played, they must involve - Beer! (the perfect game for this situation is to have a baby bottle beer chugging competition) Also, try to make the shower decorations and favors male friendly. Have a BBQ, or meatballs, hoagies, meats and cheeses (man-friendly food) instead of tea sandwiches. Some good themes are Hawaiian, Jungle, Sports, or solid colors. And for favors/prizes, hand out gift cards or lottery scratch tickets. A great gift idea for the dad-to-be is to take a plain white T-shirt and attach teething rings, pacifiers, diaper rash cream, bibs, burp cloths and diapers to the shirt using a needle and thread. All-in-all, co-ed baby showers are a blast! There is less "awkwardness" and more laughing!
