I made this cake for my niece. Top tier is 2-8" mocha cake with mocha filling. Bottom tier 2-10" white with strawberry filling.

The baby shower didn't have an actual theme so my sister-in-law requested a cake that would complement the vases of flowers and girly decorations she would be decorating with.

The cake colors went perfect with the pretty pink flowers. It looked very feminine. I made the baby booties, bow, and name, out of gum paste in advance.

I originally made the curly cues to enhance the bow, but got the idea of using them as a border as well, and everyone seemed to like it.

That is one of the prettiest cakes I have ever seen! You did a wonderful job on that. You have a lucky little niece. I really love that twisty "ribbon" you put around the bottom and for the bow. I wish my granddaughter was having a girl now. She is having a little boy this first time. Thank you for posting this one. I hope you don't mind if someone (ME) tries to make one like it.

You deserve a billion stars on this cake. It is a work of art. I love the name plate, the extra touch with the curly cues just tied it all in. Love the shoes and the color scheme. Very feminine and soft. I was a guest at the shower and the cake tastes as good as it looks...yummy.

This is a very pretty cake. Looks clean and well structured. The curely cues along the bottom of the cake and a delicate finish to the cake.
