Buttons and babies cake
I baked three cakes in marble cake mix. I used 10inch, 8inch, and 4inch cake pans. All three cakes had fresh strawberries and glaze filling. The bottom tier was made out of yellow fondant made into a quilt, which I have never done before, with white button trim and babies. The babies were made out of fondant. The middle tier was made out of blue fondant and bibs also, made out of fondant, with a button trim. The top tier was made out of yellow fondant and was a gift with a button trim. All shapes were cut using cookie cutters and were added to the cake using a paint brush and water. The cakes were all placed on one another using dowels. The best part of the cake were the babies. The mother to be kept one baby along with her mother and grandmother. It was a great cake I enjoyed making and have another request for one in May.
