Camping under the stars Diaper Cake
I made this diaper cake for my husband's cousin. Her theme was a mixture of camping and moon and stars. I made 2 tiers out of size 1 diapers, securing them with rubber bands. I wrapped them with wide brown ribbon and then on top of that wrapped real moss ribbon ( hot glued down). Then I cut a small round piece from cardboard and attached rocks around the edge for the fire pit. I took red,orange and yellow tissue paper and glued them down using a pencil to hold them in place to give the shape of fire. I also attached some tissue pieces to a tealight flicker candle( battery operated) so I could make the firepit light up. I used some thin flower wire to hold the stars up "in the sky" and reshaped a brass ring to hold the moon. I set 2 (one on each side) "stars" teddy bears and attached then with wire to the cake so they would not fall. I took small sticks and put some small craft balls on the end for marshmallows and stuck them in the diapers to secure them. I think it turned out cute.
