For this "Can't wait to meet you" Cake...
I prepared the cakes using vanilla bean Betty Crocker cake mix.
To intensify the flavor I added a teaspoon of madagascar vanilla extract.
For the filling I used raspberry preserves, fresh raspberries and raspberry liquor (Chambord).
I made my own fondant with a mix of 16 oz mini marshmallows and 1 pound confectioners sugar.
I melted the marshmallows on the microwave for 2 min in 30 seconds intervals. Added a teaspoon of clear vanilla flavoring.
On a clean surface I dumped the confectioners sugar, i made a well in the center and pur the melted marshmallows.
I grease my hands with crisco and work on the misture like when making bread.
I iced my cakes with butter cream and covered with the fondant. I made the brown cut out squares with tootsie rolls.
I molded the pregnant lady with fondant and decorated with natural flowers, fondant cut outs and white and pink chocolate candies. It took me 8 hours from beginning to end.
All the tricks and tips I learned from the internet (I googled everything!!!).
