Cream Cheese Ham Roll-Ups

by Sandra
(Seattle, WA)

Cream Cheese Ham Roll-Ups Baby Shower Appetizer

I just had these at a Christmas party last night and thought they would be perfect for a baby shower appetizer too!

All you do is take some thin lunch meat ham slices and spread cream cheese on one side. Place a sliced dill pickle (length wise) down the middle and roll up. You can also use pickled asparagus instead of pickles.

These are delicious and people ate them right up!

Veggie Pizza Baby Shower Recipe

by Alice R
(Amherst, OH. United States)

Veggie Pizza Baby Shower Recipe

2 refrigerated cans of crescent rolls
1 pkg cream cheese (room temp)
1 Tbsp mayo
1 pkg hidden valley ranch dip mix (dry mix)
shredded carrots
broccoli
cauliflower
shredded colby jack cheese

heat oven according to pkg directions on rolls. Open rolls and evenly spread them over the bottom of cookie sheet. (should cover completely) bake according to directions or until golden brown. Let cool completely.

while cooling, cut broccoli and cauliflower into bite sized pieces or smaller, set aside for later.

once cooled, take room temp cream cheese, place in medium size bowl and add mayo and hidden valley ranch dip mix. Mix together well. Spread over cooled crust evenly. top with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, then top with cheese. cut into 3 x3 inch pieces or bigger depending on preference and serve.

I usually have to make 3 to 4 cookie sheets of these for any function or get together, including the holidays. Everyone just goes crazy for them...My daughter whom is expecting in March, has already informed me of her want for this at her shower in January.

Ham and Pickle Roll Ups for A Baby Shower

by Brenda Long
(Centre, Alabama USA)

Perfect Baby Shower Finger Food!

Ham and Pickle Roll Ups

Ingredients:
Ham lunch meat at least 16 slices
jar of kosher pickle spears (or spears of your choice)
whipped cream cheese

Spread a thin layer of cream cheese onto each slice of ham. Place a pickle spear on the end of the ham (the small width part) Roll up and let sit in the refrigerator for 30 min. or so and then cut into rounds.

For easier preparation place each ham slice between paper towels to dry off liquid. Also drain pickles.

These sound like a strange combination, but trust me they are delicious. I have to make them for every occasion we have at church.

Sun Dried Tomato Dip

by Lisa
(Metairie, LA, USA)

Baby Shower Dip

Sun Dried Tomato Dip

1 tub (8 oz.) Cream Cheese Spread (I prefer to use Philadelphia)
1/2 cup Miracle Whip Dressing
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil, drained, chopped (you can use the dried tomatoes in a plastic container found in the produce section)
2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh chives
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 Finely chopped Jalapeno Pepper (optional)

MIX all ingredients until well blended.
SERVE with crackers and cut-up fresh vegetables, if desired.

This dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance. The longer you leave this dip in the refrigerator, the better the flavor.

ENJOY!!!!

Cream Cheese Spread Tea Sandwiches (Baby Shower)

by Janice
(Clover, SC)

Baby Shower Sandwiches

2-8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese
1-20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Liquid food coloring: blue for boy OR red for girl
Thin sliced sandwich bread
*Cookie cutter(s): Boy and/or Girl shape

In large bowl, mix cream cheese, pineapple, and pecans.
Once this is mixed well, add a few drops of food coloring. You want a light blue for a boy OR a light pink for a girl. Each sandwich needs a top and bottom.
For a boy, use boy cookie cutter and blue spread. For a girl, use girl cookie cutter and pink spread.
These can be made the day before and refrigerated. I layer mine in a tupperware container and put a sheet of wax paper between each layer to keep them neat and fresh.

*Cookie cutter note: You can also use a hand or foot shaped cookie cutter.
