The babies are made of all diapers and then I dressed them in an outfit.
I started off by rolling several diaper together into a large circle and securing with a rubber band and a little bit of tape. This made up the head.
For the body, I took 2 diapers and rolled them together. I made 3 of these. Then I stacked the rolls on top of each other and secured with tape and rubber bands.
For the arms and legs I took single diapers and rolled them up.
It was a challenge to dress this little diaper baby. But once I got everything secure and properly in place, it turned out great!
Guests could not believe that I made the entire thing our of diapers! After the shower, the mom to be got to keep the diapers and the little outfit!
Below is a great video that I found on You Tube for "how to make a diaper wreath."
It is similar to a baby shower diaper cake - but in the shape of a wreath instead of a diaper!
The instructions are detailed and I think I would be able to make this ~ I love the idea that everything on the diaper wreath is able to be used by the mom and baby! So it really makes the perfect gift! ..and it is so cute!
Here is a great twist for a "Baby Diaper Tool Kit"
Instead of a diaper belt for the new father to be, I used a cheap tool box and filled it with the baby stuff. (wipes, diapers, lotion, baby oil, socks, baby brush, diaper rash ointment, etc.)
This way they can re-use the tool box instead of an apron which was brought to my attention they would just throw in a corner.
I am looking for directions on how to make a small flannel diaper which would be used for nuts/mints. I believe once it is folded and pinned, it is dunked in something. Thank you
I bought a box of plain white diapers, and bought some blue, and pink lace and used tacky glue, and just tacked the lace on top of the diapers, all the way around the top.
Then I put a pink or blue bow under the lace in center on front of diaper.
Using sticky numbers, I placed one on each diaper for guests to win a door prize.
After the shower was over every guest placed the diapers in a basket, then the new mom just removed the lace and bow, and had a bunch of extra diapers, for her new baby!
