The lady I made this cake for requested an elegant cake with baby blue, ivory, yellow, and some gold ribbon and bows.

I thought these choices sounded odd at first, but the cake turned out beautiful!

This cake was made using 6 inch square for the top, 8 inch for the middle and 12 inch for the bottom.

Each layer was covered in baby blue tinted fondant.

The top layer is wrapped like a present with gold wired ribbon. The middle layer was accented with tiny ivory buttercream flowers with yellow centers.

The bottom layer had a sheet of ivory fondant on the top and covering 1/2 way down the sides.

I then used buttercream to do the shell borders in ivory and accented the cake with a gold ribbon bow, ivory and yellow roses, and plastic baby diaper decorating pins.
