Elegant Yellow Poppy Diaper Cake

With this 3 tier cake I used 92 Pampers newborn diapers. I used my cake pans size 12, 9, and 6 for easy assembly. I strategically layered the diapers in the pan until the correct fullness was achieved then secured with a elastic cord for easy removal. I continued this on the other tiers.

I found coordinating yellow with white polka dots gross grain ribbon and yellow poppies. The ribbon is secured by glue dots for easy removal and the flower stems are pressed into the diapers for stabilization and easy removal as well. I like to keep things simple, yet elegant.

did you just wrap a rubber band around the whole layer? what did you use and where did you put it? This cake is awesome...great idea.

I really like how you used cake pans and the way you layed the diapers out. My cousin had made a diaper cake for me and she rolled the diapers and that made it kinda hard when it was time to take it apart and use them. VERY SMART! Thanks for the idea!

I really liked your idea using the cake pans. All I could think of was how awkward making a diaper cake would be and that it would take one person to hold it in place while another ties it down. The cake pan makes so much sense!

This is very simple but makes an elegant statement. I'm going to make one similar to this for a baby shower in July! Keep doing what you're doing because this is on time!

I like this cake because it looks like you did not have to roll the diapers an it looks smoother and more secure. Using the cake pans is a smart idea and hels to make the cake more uniform. Great job!
