I used about 34 on the first layer. Pulled ribbon tight around, then cut out rubber bands. For second round, I stacked another bottle in the center and use the remaining 24 diapers.
Repeat with 12 newborn for top layer. Embellished with socks, washcloths, and rubber duckies. Way too cute!!

Girl Power Diaper Cake
Okay, so I made this Girl Power Diaper Cake for my sister.
She was having a girl finally after 10 yrs of all boys in my family.
She didn't have a theme but wanted something girly and to include pink camo for her hubby's likes. I decided to try my had at make a doll like diaper cake.
I rolled the diapers and tiered them for the shape. I slipped a onesie over for the top and added a camo receiving blanket and a crib sheet underneath it for a skirt.
My 10 yr. old daughter knitted the belt around the waist.

This was my first shot at making any sort of diaper cake and I don't think that it came out too bad.
The center where the diapers are bundled around are actually 2 bottles on top of each other, an 8 oz on bottom and a 4 oz sitting on top of it.
The bottom 2 tiers are size 1 diapers and the top tier is pull ups. I decorated it with baby spoons, clips and odds and ends that were on my friends registry.
I topped it off with an adorable singing plush bunny!

Diaper Cake For A Girl
Diaper Cake For A Girl
This is my first cake I made for a friend at work.
Item I used were onesies, bibs, baby socks rolled into roses for the top, shampoo, baby wash, lotion, comb and brush set, teething ring, pacifier with a clip, wash rags, thermometer, baby blanket wrapped the bottom layer, receiving blankets wrapped the 2nd and 3rd layer.
Blankets are secured with baby pins around the back.
After I had all the diapers wrapped and in place I took a few diapers out of each layer and replaced the diapers with rolled up onies, bibs and wash rags.
Filled a bottle with Hershey kisses and put it with a stuffed animal.

Glittery baby girl diaper cake
I rolled up 86 diapers to make a 3 tiered cake. Stuck glittery branches, flowers and leaves through the "seams" if you will. Safety pinned giant pacifiers. And pinned 2 birds to the ribbons. On top I tied an ornament with an Angel on it. The baby shower theme for this baby girl was "A gift from Heaven."

Diaper Cake with Baby Sock Cupcakes
by Emmeline Avila
(Covina, Ca)
This is a gift for my cousin who is expecting a baby girl in May. this is a typical diaper cake, 3 tiers made with approximately 106 diaper size 2 and 3. (84 came in size 2, but i had extra diapers from previous cakes that i hid in threw in there). The fun part about this cake was the baby sock cupcakes. My cousin is in to baking so i wanted to put incorporate it into their gift. i used 5 pairs of socks, folded then into each other and just stuffed them into a cupcake liner.
My previous cakes can be seen on: http://emelingail.blogspot.com/

Diaper Cake for A Good Friend

(Lake Balboa, CA)
Diaper Cake for A Good Friend
This was my first attempt in creating a dipaer cake for a good friend of mine.
I used 1 large box of swaddlers and I made layers out of them against a baby bath bottle.
I decided not to decorate it with socks, bibs or bottles, just using some ribbon and silk flowers to make it look complete!
Everyone enjoyed it and I hope you will too...Thank you

Baby Girl 3 tier "easy" diaper cake
Baby Girl 3 tier
I rolled diapers and placed small rubber bands around each one. I put the diapers standing upright side by side until I made the tier as big as i wanted and to secure them in place I wrapped the tier tightly with a receiving blanket using a safety pin to hold the blanket in place.
I did that with each tier, i added a few outfits and wash clothes etc hidden within the diapers in each tier as well. I then used flowers with clips to hold them in place on the top and cut out and used glue dots to stick the letters to the receiving blankets.
I bought some pacifiers and just sat them on one tier and i used the glue dots to stick the baby product samples along the baseboard as well.
Overall it gave it a clean finished look, it was very easy to do :) In fact this was my first time ever attempting to make a diaper cake and the person I gifted it to LOVED it :)

Baby Girl Four Tier Diaper Cake

Baby Girl Four Tier Diaper Cake
How to Make This Baby Girl Four Tier Diaper Cake...
I made this cake for my daughter's baby shower.
I rolled 110 newborn diapers.
Formed each layer and wrapped and tied it with ribbon.
Added a bottle, a bib, a receiving blanket and baby washcloths, socks and booties helped to add to the cakes "Fantasy of Pink".
The embellishments are too numerous to count (it was for my granddaughter, so there was a lot of extra).
Decorations included baby scrapbook stickers to brighten it up and make it more interesting.
The top is a small Baby's First Doll and a little girls wand.
I included silver baby charms as well.

Baby girl diaper cake
Ingredients:
85 disposable diapers (sz. 1) (4) receiving blankets (2) sets of diaper pins Baby bottle bank: Contents - vinyl bib, snack cup, powdered milk container, key rattle, key rattle, brush & comb set, baby bottle (2) pair Baby Phat booties (1) pair pink newborn clogs (6) rubber-tipped feeding spoons Trial sizes of: Baby shampoo Baby wash Baby powder Baby lotion Desitin Comb & brush set Nail clippers Medicine dropper (3) freezable teethers (1) pacifier clip (2) pacifiers (6) head bands (1) nasal aspirator (1) rubber-tipped fingertip toothbrush & case
Roll diapers and secure with rubber bands. Using baby bottle bank as center support, layered diapers around and secured with large rubber band. Folded receiving blankets, two on bottom layer and one each on second and third layers, and secure with diaper pins. Wrapped different ribbon around each layer. At first I attached all the little goodies with double-sided tape, but some were a little on the heavy side for tape, and I hit them with a spot of hot glue and it worked fine and held up well.
Got lots of compliments, and mom-to-be was absolutely thrilled!
