Help with Wording for No Gifts, please

My wife and I have mutually decided not to accept gifts from friends and families during her upcoming baby shower, partly because times are tough and don’t want anyone to feel they are obligated and/or expected to give her a baby shower gift.

We'd rather they spend that money on their own family and just give us their good wishes and blessings. We don’t want people to feel bad or get offended for this.

As such, we are looking for ideas to word it nicely in her baby shower invitation card. Of course, for the same reason, she is not registered anywhere either.

Can someone please give us a great wording idea along the lines of “No gifts, please” and that we and the unborn would just like their blessing and good wishes.

what do you do at a baby shower if there are no gifts to "shower" Why not just have a party welcoming the baby when he or she comes?
