For this clever "Is it a girl or is it a boy cake" I cooked my home made cakes, then I put them in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

I took them out made a homemade whipped icing added the icing to the cakes followed by putting the lace at the bottom of each cake.

I had the post decorated in advance with the plastic balloons. After the icing is all done I assemble the cakes and the decoration.
