Jungle theme shower cake
I made a 6 inch round cake for the top layer and a 9 inch round for the bottom. The base is covered in fondant with an alligator skin imprint. The animals were made from fondant/sugargum combo. Dusting powder was used to enhance them. Palm trees were also made of fondant/sugar gum. Wire was used in the middle of the tree to make it curved. Tiny triangles were individually placed to make the tree have its texture. The palm trees on the cake were made of buttercream frosting with the palms made of royal icing.
