Me and my duckies in the tub cake Me and my duckies in the tub cake I baked two 8 inch round red velvet cakes. Frosted them with cream cheese buttercream icing and in the middle. Then I made little strips made from fondant for the tub (they don't have to be perfect to go around the tub). I painted them brown and yellow for the wood. Let them dry, then placed them on the cake. Nexted I made two long gray fondant strips to go around the top and bottom of the cake. This makes it look like it is a metal band. The top is a card board round with wax paper wrinkled up to add as filler. Over top of the wax paper I added the bubbles. All the bubbles are rolled fondant balls dusted with pearl dust. I placed them all over and coming down the sides. The baby and ducks are made out of fondant. On the base board I covered the board with paper, added the cake, then a fondant rug, teddy bear, and other baby things. It was the hit of the baby shower. See more cute baby shower cakes
