Mommy's Tea Party
Mommy's Tea Party
My baby shower was held at a cute restaurant/tea house, which was a converted historic home. Everyone dressed up and we had a nice luncheon of salads, etc. The cake was incredibly delicious! There was a vintage store in the attic of the place, and a fireplace in our reserved room. The hostess decorated with a clothesline of baby clothes, pink votive candles on the tables (also the favors), a diaper cake in the corner on the gift table. It was the last grown-up event I attended before the birth of my baby, and the last one I will be able to attend for a long time, without having to hire a sitter! Most of the guests had mimosas and wine. I was a little sad that I couldn't join in, so I recommend only serving items that EVERYONE can partake of. Sometimes going to a nice place and letting someone else take care of the work can be fun!
