Cute idea! Some clarification to viewer questions
by: Ashley

I think they are referring to 'paper mache' for this idea.
I would use colourful scrapbook paper, or coloured tissue (note you will need more layers of tissue as it is much more thin).
Blow the baloon just enough so that it has air in it. Mix the water and glue (equal parts of each) and "paint" it on the balloon, adding small pieces of paper as you go (2"x2" pieces would work well).

My suggestion is to use a paper mache mix that doesn't use glue as it could be toxic if the candy is going right inside this. Either line the balloon with plastic wrap of some sort or use a recipe where you don't use glue or (there is a mixture you can do using flour and water instead of glue and water).

Another idea for 'closing the hole,' use clear plastic (like for wrapping baskets), wrap around the ball of the rattle and tie with ribbon.

Great idea!

This is like making a Piņata, just a smaller version. So if you follow the piņana making process it will be easier to follow

Very cute ieda for a favor
by: Anonymous

I think this is a very nice idea for a favor. I just have a few questions as the directions are not very clear to me.
what kind of glue do you use?
what kind of paper tissue or just some plain white copy paper?
what are rods for handles?

not very clear directions
by: Anonymous

These directions are not very clear or understandable.
What kind of paper? How much? What size? Do you leave an opening to put the candy in? How do you close up the hole where you inserted the candy?
Otherwise, it's a cute idea.
