Pink Modern Mom Diaper Cake...

This is a 4 tier diaper cake, and it was made using 92 diapers that I rolled from the seat up to the waistband and secured with small rubber bands, one on each end of the diaper. I put a small travel size powder in the center, and just kept adding diapers to the "cake" layer until it was the size that I wanted. I then put a very large rubber band in the center of the diapers to secure the layer. I repeated this process until all the diapers were used. To "icing" the layers, I purchased a 4 pack of receiving blankets, and folded them to the height of a layer, securing it with a rubber band also.
The ribbon is a great compliment of the colors and style, but it's main function is to cover the rubber band securing the receiving blanket to the diapers. I also used double sided tape to help secure the ends of the ribbon together, and to help fold the layers of the "cake" together. This is my first attempt at a diaper cake and look forward to making many more in the coming years. This cake is made for my newest niece, Jaden that is due the end of April.
