Ducky Bubble Bath Cake
I used a Wilton's Birthday cake pan, that is about 10inches round for the two layer top. For the bottom just made cupcakes with lemon custard filling. Ducky sugar was very easy to make, just sugar and egg white and very little water tinted with color gel.

Rubber Duckie Baby Shower Cake
We made 2-14x18 White Chocolate pound cakes for the bathtub, covered it in butter cream icing, and layered it with fondant.
We used piping gel and added a couple drops of food coloring for the water. The bubbles were made with butter cream icing and dusted with pearl powder to give a soapy look.
The faucet and handles were made with rice crispy treats and covered with white fondant. The rubber duckie we use the Wilton 3-D duck pan.
We piped it with yellow buttercream icing and spread orange on the beak. The baby duckies are plastic as well as the baby blocks.
We have tons of cute pictures showing you "How to Host the Cutest Baby Shower Ever!"

Me and my duckies in the tub cake
Me and my duckies in the tub cake
I baked two 8 inch round red velvet cakes. Frosted them with cream cheese butter cream icing and in the middle.
Then I made little strips made from fondant for the tub (they don't have to be perfect to go around the tub).
I painted them brown and yellow for the wood. Let them dry, then placed them on the cake. Next I made two long gray fondant strips to go around the top and bottom of the cake. This makes it look like it is a metal band.
The top is a card board round with wax paper wrinkled up to add as filler. Over top of the wax paper I added the bubbles.
All the bubbles are rolled fondant balls dusted with pearl dust. I placed them all over and coming down the sides. The baby and ducks are made out of fondant. On the base board I covered the board with paper, added the cake, then a fondant rug, teddy bear, and other baby things. It was the hit of the baby shower.

Rubber duckie on bubbles cake
Rubber duckie on bubbles cake
This was a simple two-tier cake. I used gum paste for the polka dots and ribbon effects. The bubbles were also gum paste. I dusted the whole cake with a shimmer powder to give it some color since the mom-to-be just wanted a simple white cake.

Bath Time Duck Cake
Bath Time Duck Cake Instructions...
I used 2 10" round cakes and the icing was with blue butter cream frosting.
I didn't smooth out the icing on the cake so it would give the effect of water.
I then made the bubbles and bar of soap out of the Wilton fondant icing.
I bought a cheap blue table-cloth, rubber duck and baby washcloths form walmart.
I then placed the duck in the middle of the cake and placed the wash- cloths around the cake on the table-cloth.
I used and old metal bucket we had at our house for the backdrop.
Very easy and cheap to make.

Bubbles In A Blankie Cake
Bubbles In A Blankie Cake
This was The first Baby Shower cake I made with fondant. Even though in the picture it looks white it was actually baby blue with a darker blue ribbon.
The rubber Duckie and Bubbles I also made myself. If you take a closer look you can see water dripping out of the tub made out of water, powdered sugar, and a tiny drop of blue pearl dust mixed together. Hope you like it!
