Super Bowl Baby Shower

My friends and I are giving a couples baby shower during the 2009 Super Bowl. We are having the same food that anyone would have during a game...

The theme is:
The 2009 Baby Bowl.
In our case it is a baby girl, pinafores in the shape of footballs-but imagine if it is a boy! Great things to go with----foot balls, etc...LOL
Lots of good beer and wine, with the food and a game will keep the guys from throwing up while all the gals are viewing the great baby gifts!!!! We also put on the invite:
"Bring Gift Unwrapped for Viewing".
The bride is a little shy and we didn't want the guys to throw up again!!!
We also set up a skeet shoot outside for fun.

Sports Baby Shower Theme

In New England we love the Patriots football team.

For sports fanatics this theme will be great.

It can work with any sports team.

For the Patriots: start with the team colors of silver, dark blue and some red.

You can purchase Patriots cups, plates anywhere locally. Have some banners and team logos as decorations.

Small football candles can be on the paty cake. Hot dogs, hamburgs, and other tailgating food work well.

Favors can be Patriots souvenirs from any local shop or the Patriots NFL store.

Games can be easily created: name three players from the team; guess how many Superbowls they have won.

Have a contest to name the most handsome Patriots player.

For gifts, you can get baby clothes in the sports team's theme. If you do an internet search for New England Patriots clothing (or your town's favorite team), you will find numerous websites that offer cute baby clothes.

Then there are the girls themes that can be geared towards cheerleading and all the decorations that follow that theme - pom-poms, and the like.

The Dads will love a sports themed party!
