Tigger and Pooh Diaper Cake
Baby Boy Pooh and Tigger Three Tier Diaper Cake
I made this cake for my nephew's baby shower. The theme was Pooh and Tigger. It was made with 80 rolled up size 1 diapers. I added; 2 Pooh receiving blankets, 4 wash cloths, Pooh pacifier holder and two pacifiers (attached with ribbon). Comb and brush, blue bunny slippers, "thank heaven for little boys" burp cloth, Johnson's travel set and I topped it with a Tigger "blanky". This was all tied with blue ribbon and embellished with baby boy scrapbook stickers.

This Winnie the Pooh Diaper Cake is a 3 tier diaper cake made with 75 diapers. 45 on the bottom tier, 20 on the middle tier, and 10 on the top tier. I secured two baby bottle to a serving plate with hot glue. Then I rubber banded the rolled diapers to the bottles making sure that the overall shape remains round. Repeat this for each tier. I hot glued baby spoons to the back of each ribbon wrapped item and stuck the spoons in the diaper to secure each item to the cake.

Tigger Diaper Cake

Tigger Diaper Cake
When I started this Tigger Diaper Cake for a shower I had no idea what colors to use.
I worked with it and I think these colors were perfect! It's very bright and colorful which makes it eye catching.
I used 50 size 1- Huggies Diapers, Tigger Toy, Tigger Rattler for topper, Tigger teething ring, some other teething rings, and on the back side which you cant see I added Baby powder, Baby Lotion, Baby Shampoo and Diaper Rash Ointment.
These diapers are rolled and secured with rubber bands. I also like to use cotton crochet thread to secure each layer before I add ribbon just to keep it all in place better.
I usually hot glue the ribbon ends together. I like to add shreds for icing which makes the cake look fuller.

Winnie The Pooh Diaper Cake
(100) size (1) diapers,(84) size (2) diapers 4 tiers.
Bottom tier 54 size 2. 2nd tier 70 size (1).
3rd tier 30 size (2) 4th tier 30 size (1). i used a clear large round plastic platter.
I put 2" blue gingham check wired ribbon on the edge of the platter using double sided tape. then started building the bottom tier.
I used the clear pony tail rubber bands to secure the diaper after i rolled it instead of regular rubber bands they fit perfectly.
Put an 8oz bottle in the middle with a large rubber band around bottle stuff diapers inside rubber band all around till it is the size you need ,continue with the rest of the tiers until it resembles a tiered cake.
1 1/2" ribbon around the middle of each tier hot glued. i found the winnie the pooh cut -outs at a local party store and hot glued them to the ribbon all around.
Also found some miniature baby bottles i stuck in the top of several diapers to look like candles with different color tops and different miniature baby items i found at the dollar tree.
Then I put Winnie the Pooh on top with his rattle. used curling ribbon to drape down on cake all around.
Just let your imagination go and you will create an awesome diaper cake. this was my first one I ever made, it was for my daughter's baby shower.

Winnie The Pooh Diaper Cake

Baby Boy Blue & Pooh - Diaper Cake
For this baby shower diaper cake, you will need:
196 blue edge diapers size 1. Purchased at Hy-vee, ( also come in pink).
1 yard of pooh striped fabric purchased at JoAnn's fabric.
Half yard of blue gingham for cake ruffle.
Foam Poohs purchased at Dollar Tree.
22 additional items for decorating cake, like rattles.
Socks, link-a-dos, comb brush etc.
The base of the cake is 55 inches. I cut ribbon 56 inches hot glued ends together and added rolled diapers until ribbon was tight.
I added cardboard circles in between layers.Stair step up each layer.
I did not add cardboard circle to last layer so Pooh could stand up.
Foam pooh were just tucked in between diapers.
Link-a-doos can be added by clipping to ribbon. All other items were added by threading 1/8 in. White ribbon into large eye doll needle. Pick your spot where you want to add your item and poke needle through and pull ribbon through add item and tie it to the cake with a bow. Continue until all items are added to the cake.
This was a very fun cake to make and the Mother-To -Be was thrilled with it!
