For this Baby Phat Designer Diaper Cake...

I rolled size 2 diapers and secured them with rubber bands and wrapped a ribbon around each layer.

The layers are secured with cake dowels pushed all the way through.

On the cake is a bib set, burp cloths, blanket, hat and booties set and 2 picture frames.

All in the 'baby phat' brand! Turned out super cute!

For the deluxe style, I make sure I have my 85 diapers, cake pans to help arrange them uniformly in the fanned style. Make three tiers(40, 28, and 17 diapers) and secure them with rubber bands around the outside of each tier.

I use cardboard paper towel rolls in the center for stability, then decorate according to baby shower theme or nursery theme. In the case of this diaper cake it was decorated for my cousin's baby shower theme.

I included a couple of extra gifts on top of the cake. A pink with brown polka dots onesie rolled up for baby and petal soaps for Mom in a vanilla scent elegantly wrapped in satin ribbons.

This Baptism diaper cake was designed for my nieces Baptism. It was made using 30 disposable diapers as a base then erecting a standing cross held together with a dowel support system.

It is wrapped in pink ribbon with a thin pieces of ribbon with a cross design. Topping off the cake are pink and white roses. Last piece added was a keepsake cross to mark this special day.

Blanky diaper cake

Blanky bear diaper cake

Blanky bear diaper cake

This diaper cake I made for my friend who is due in June.

She is not over the top so I made something simple but with a little funk to fit her personality.

I had the burp cloth and nursing cover blanket made in the funky design and colors she was wanting. I usually buy my custom stuff from www.etsy.com.

I bought the bear (it is one with the nature and heartbeat sounds) Added a snuggie blanket with ladybug and another blanket behind the bear wrapped around a diaper covered dowel for stability.

The base is made up of diapers and another receiving blanket underneath so the diapers don't get dirty. I really like it because it's simple but cute. Hope you like it. :0)

I used over 60 size 1 Pampers Swaddlers diapers for this cake.

I rolled all of them and secured them with an elastic band.

Then I decorated the cake with high end ribbon, flowers and a cute little Boyd's bear for baby.

I added some nice products for mommy from Upper Canada products...and it turned out great...Sold this cake to a major company for their public relations officers baby shower:)

Sophisticated Baby Diaper Cake

I started with a bottle of champagne and surrounded it with three layers of loosely wrapped diapers around the base of the bottle securing the diapers with rubber bands.

I did the same for the next two layers(you depending on how tightly you roll the diapers you should only need a bag of 60 diapers)

I then folded a sheet of tissue paper over and over again till it was the height of my cake then wrapped it around each layer of the cake (so you would have a nice smooth surface to work of off AND keep the diapers clean!)I bought a range of ribbons and fiddled around until I found a combination that I liked.

This cake has two ribbons butted up against each other then a wide sheer ribbon wrapped around it.

I used left over scrap booking material and fringe to finish off the job, I also put a layer of crinkly paper on top of the diapers.

This is my first diaper cake ever and I am SUPER happy with the way it turned out.

I have to mention that the only reason I thought of doing a cake was because I needed a way to display my crocheted booties :)! Hope I explained it well enough. Good luck!
