When I stumbled across these adorable Pea Pod favors from Heidi of Van Laar Designs - my jaw dropped!
The "Pea in a Pod" baby shower theme has always been a favorite of mine - so I knew I had to feature these cuties on the site!
Have you ever seen anything so simple and perfect?
By using Sixlets candies and crepe paper, Heidi was able to create these mini masterpieces!
I searched around and you can buy separate colored Sixlets at Hobby Lobby. Gum balls also work.
Use 2-3 Sixlets per favor, she laid them onto the crepe paper (you can also use green tissue paper if you do not have crepe paper - it's just that crepe paper has a stretchiness to it that makes it easier to work with)
Note: Some people choose the Pea in A Pod theme when planning a twin or triplets baby shower -- if this is the case, you can use as many "peas" as there are babies on the way.
Roll the cute little peas up in their pod, twist the ends and snip off the excess crepe paper.
Tie the ends with thin string. Heidi twisted some extra crepe paper into a skinny strip and curled it (you can easily get the curled effect by wrapping it around a toothpick)
Add a cute little favor tag and you are done! Adorable!
You could even tie these onto a bag of frosted sugar cookies if you wanted to get a little more fancy!
We have simple "Thank You" favor tags that you can download for free here.
Again, a huge thank you to Heidi, from Van Laar Designs for letting me share her sweet little pea favors!

Aren't these pea pod cookies just precious? Use a round glass to cut out sugar cookie dough • frost them with green icing • using an edible thin pastry marker • add eyes and a mouth • add pink sprinkles for the dimples.
Package these cuties up in clear cellophane bags, add a matching bow and tie on a baby shower favor tag! Viola! Adorable and inexpensive baby shower favors - that guests will absolutely love!
